vada abditae

By TomS

Went for a walk along the Derwent today and spent a great deal of time taking photos of reflections of trees. But in the end this was the one to blip.

The digger is owned by the Environment Agency, who are clearing the banks to improve the water flow and reduce blockages when the river is high. I am pleased it is done and I suppose that it is only fair that it should be paid for by taxation rather than by the landowner, for we all benefit to some degree from the health of our rivers and they should be regarded as a a public asset like clean air. All of them.
