Lily

Simon and Bernie, mutual friends of mine and Derek and Rita's, were over from the UK visitng Bernie's sister who's seriously ill in hospital, and we'd arranged to meet up in Ashbourne for lunch today. We had a great time together, catching up after a long time without seeing each other and reminiscing about 'the good old days', and, of course, Rita laid on a beautiful for lunch.

An added bonus was a visit by D & R's son David, his partner and their five-month-old daughter Lily. What a terrific child! Far from making strange when finding herself surrounded by three strange faces, she was all smiles and kisses and won all our hearts. This is Lily with mum Triona and Bernie in the background.

A really wonderful afternoon. I was delighted to be able to be there.
