Blindingly Obvious

It is 6 months today since we moved into our new home. A day for taking stock. We have already made a few alterations to make it seem more like 'ours' and have lots more planned. One of the 'must haves' on our list when searching for a house was a conservatory....I have always wanted one!

This house does have a conservatory BUT it is a south facing conservatory with no blinds - making it too bright and hot to sit in during the Summer and too cold and unwelcoming in the Winter. No problem, we thought, we will order some blinds. I won't relate the whole sorry saga of the blinds we ordered here, and I'm sure I would not be allowed to name the company we approached but we chose a firm who advertise regularly on national TV and after 16 weeks confirmed what we had suspected - they are RUBBISH!

We have now ordered blinds from a Company who appear to know what they are doing!! They are coming to fit them (hopefully) next week. We are really looking forward to using this as an extra room for relaxing in and for enjoying the garden from when we sort that out.

In the meantime we are cleaning the windows in readiness! What about the weather? Really wasn't expecting blue sky and sunshine today - but here it is!
