Tender greeting

Two deer were browsing among the evergreen trees this morning, and I was fortunate to capture this scene. The snow you see is a result of three inches of the white stuff that we woke up to on Sunday morning. Our weather has been really variable lately. Last week we had a thaw with lots of rain and flooding in the area. It poured rain on Friday night and again for part of Saturday. Then overnight, while we were asleep, it turned into snow and surprised us in the morning. When I went to the park this morning, the sun had returned and it was a beautiful blue-sky-day...a perfect day for a photo walk in the park.
