Indian Wells Valley

Today we left LA and headed out into the desert.

We drove along Highway 395 into Indian Wells Valley and it's exactly as I expected the wild west might be! Lots of old machinery lying at the side of the deserted, long straight roads, and also lots of abandoned ranch's and houses littering the valley floor.

This was one of the abandoned houses that was relatively easy to get to so I stopped and took a quick blip.

Eerie would be the word best to describe it. The wind was whistling through the old window frames and it was pitch black inside, it was very isolated and to be honest as soon as I took the picture I just wanted to get back in the car and get out of there!!

I've also managed to wade through the last week of back blips today so now I'm all up to date again!
