Consequences.

Yesterday I introduced my students (aged between 6 and 8) to the game "consequences". I was reminded of it through a book I have recently bought called "Parlour games for the modern family". None of the kids knew what the word consequence meant so we had a little chat about that. The game was a huge success, they were roaring with laughter, as were my two boys when I tried it at home with them.

I have to make more of an effort to rediscover these old games with my children. The electronic toys and video games have such an appeal that we all forget how much fun can be had with a piece of paper and a pencil. I don't want to look back on their childhood and have regrets that we didn't play together more. They are not going to want to play with me forever. If
