Dreich
I was in a meeting all morning (dearie me, the times we live in are becoming more....interesting...by the day) and then jumped on a train or two home.
I hoped to get a scenic shot or two from the train window; but I must say that Warrington seems a very unlovely place. Wigan is a bit more promising - some decent-looking old red brick buildings, but none really blippable. By the time things got really scenic the mist and murk had descended.
I was hoping for a shot of the handsome hairy black pigs who live by the junction at Carstairs (where the train conveniently slows down). I'd noticed yesterday that there is a new litter of lively black piglets. But it was so dreich that even these hardy creatures had retreated into their pigloos. So you'll have to make do with a Cumbrian fell in a mist.
It's nice to be home.
