Finally!

Finally went on a free walking tour today....4 months after i planned to! This is the Berliner Dom, which is undoubtedly an impressive building, but i have fallen in love with the Fernsehturm in the background. When i first set eyes on this TV tower I remember thinking it was hideous, today I´m happy every time I see it. Constructed between 1965 and 1969 it was intended as a show of the GDR's strength, sure slightly phallic, but a piece of history all the same, and it's my compass.

Has been a nice day so far, good to see Sara finally and catch up over coffee....now off to some night markets, and a glass of wine or 2:-) Oh I love weekends!!!
