Spring day
Just another quick one.
Bright sunshine and scudding clouds show the Forsythia at its best. After it has flowered this shrub is pretty green and boring for the rest of the year.
Originally from China and discovered by a plant hunter, Forsythia was named after William Forsyth who in 1770 was Director of the Chelsea Physic Garden. He was also a founder of the Royal Horticultural Society.
Village art group this afternoon. A did not come this time - maybe she will next week
