The sheriff

T wanted to get into his cowboy, sometimes sheriff, outfit on as soon as we got home from school today. He started singing 'I Shot the Sheriff' by Bob Marley soon after donning the outfit. Which then led to a lot of questions about 'why would someone shoot the sheriff?' All the while looking down at his attire, thinking maybe that song didn't fit into his sheriff role play very well.
We had a nice, normal night at home, which consisted of: dinner, playing deputy to his sheriff, homework, taking a short walk outside (and we met another new neighbor), bath, one Batman cartoon episode and a book in bed. I love reading out loud to him. I remember volunteering to read aloud in class in elementary school. It's so exciting that he's beginning to read and write.

This is my fifth blip in under a week. I looked back and I haven't done that many in a week in many months. Maybe I'm back.
