A Fire In The Sky

I woke up about five-thirty and checked the sky.  Even though it was still dark, I saw that there were clouds in the east, forecasting a beautiful sunrise.

I was not disappointed.  One never knows what colors there will be - reds, purples, blues, oranges, pinks...

The key to capturing vivid colors is to grab them about 15-20 minutes before sunrise.  Sunrise today was at 6:41 am MST.

The rise was over the Santa Rita Mountains.  The view was from my backyard.  I just walked out my door, held the camera high over my head to try to get over the houses below me and snapped.
