Speccy

Rebecca got her eyes tested. She's been having sore eyes and blurry vision when reading small-ish writing so we thought we'd get her checked out. She had the first part done on Saturday and I took her back today to get the rest done.

She had to get drops in her eyes to dilate her pupils so that the optician could test how bad her astigmatism is. Well, in typical Rebecca style, she got the first eye done then refused to have the second one done, the result is in the picture above. She is quite pleased with the freaky look. No amount of bribery, cajoling or threats to hold her down would make her have it done. So, the optician sent us away for the drops to work with the possibility of either bringing her back another day or sending her to a specialist so they could sedate her and do it that way!

Anyway, we came back after 20 minutes and he did the test. End result was that yes, she does need glasses, the astigmatism is worse than they originally thought but they managed to get a proper reading on the other eye without me having to drag her back kicking and screaming (or drugged). She had fun picking her glasses and no doubt I will be back here with a photo some time next week.
