Rabbits' Tails today, Lambs Tails earlier in the year
It was cold, grey and windy this afternoon, when I had a chance to get out, whereas the sun had been shining this morning.

It was tricky to snap these as they were being blown about, so I was quite pleased with the result.

We used to call these catkins of the Goat Willow, Salix Caprea, 'Rabbits' Tails' but they are more commonly known as Pussy Willow. Branches were cut and used to decorate the house on Palm Sunday.

Our thoughts are of course with everyone affected today by the catastrophic earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan and beyond.
