spring has sprung

finally... at least in this part of the country, i'm seeing signs of spring! yay!

these are buds on mom's lilac bushes in the backyard... how cool is that? a definite sign that spring is on the way and sweet smells will be permeating the air. can hardly wait...

and guess what? sun is shining today.... doing the dance of joy! after almost 2 weeks of dreary skies, gray and rain sun is such a blessing... to see these buds then, was like the cherry on top of the day. joy, joy i'm telling you.

taking care of a lot of last minute things to get ready for my departure tomorrow. am very nervous to leave mom alone after all this time of taking care of, and doing for her... but she is strong and will be fine. like all of us, she needs to stand firm and be independent and we've been practicing throughout the day those things she'll need to be doing.

i'll try to be back later for comments but may not get around to it... sorry... and then travel tomorrow. will have to blip early morning as unbelievably, i'm already hitting 200... have no idea what i'll do - it's come up fast...
