Dinner

At the end of a very long week of teaching in four different universities around the country I found myself in Bournemouth, and after my talk I was taken to a most splendid Ghurkali restaurant - I don't know if this was their own brand of beer, but my late father would have been impressed. He had very strong associations with the Ghurkas - I still have a kukri (sorry, probably not spelt that way). At my father's funeral they sent a young gentleman from the Gurkha's to play the Last Post on a bugle. An honour indeed, so here's to you Pa, a glass of the Ghurka's best. The food was delicious.
