East Point, PEI
Vacation 2009: The Maritimes. Day 10. This is as far east as one can go on the island. There is a lighthouse off to the right. To the left, off shore, were about 20 or so seals bobbing in the water. At first I thought they were people and wondered if they were crazy. I then realized they were silkies! Linda and I had never seen them in their habitat before (except, maybe, a few days earlier off of Cape Breton). PEI is a red island due to the iron rich rocks and soil. Very pretty.
Back-blipped 13 March 2011.
