Wash day

Finally, good news about Chisa's grandmother - she is safely in an emergency shelter near where she lives, so at least she is safe and sound. I can't stop worrying about them all still, especially with the nuclear risk, but I'm trying not to worry too much.

Are you bored of hearing about Maurice yet? The saga goes on. I looked in the cupboard this morning and thought 'Oh my god, he's taken the trap as well this time!', but then remembered that I'd taken it out of the cupboard before I went to bed as there was no sign of him, and I felt I was just feeding him up, rather than making any progress towards catching him.

A friend said to me today, why didn't I wedge the trap in place so that he couldn't fight his way free? I thought that sounded a good idea, so it is now wedged in beind the u-bend - there is still enough room for the door to close when he goes in, but hopefully not enough room for him to thrash around, knock it onto the bottom shelf and get out.

However, I fear that the 'little nipper' style trap is becoming more appealing as time goes on... Could I bear to deal with the dead body though?
