Weekend away

The day started of rather well - the U-Bahn on strike, I had the luxury of getting a cab to the station, then walked through the shops, got some glossy magazines, bought myself a latte and then sat on the rather nice ICE for 4 hours reading my book and almost getting bored!

My very old friend Rike had a baby just before Christmas and I couldn't wait to go and see her. The baby is gorgeous, the mother is doing great and I was reminded that at this stage (6 weeks old), one can actually still have a chat with the other without being disturbed.
