Memories

Hugo played in his school senior basketball team, despite being in year 4. He is very flattered and enjoys the older boys company.

The team took the runners up silver medal in the district finals this evening.

I managed to get home from work early to see the match and I'm really glad I did. I know nothing about basketball, all the silky skills were completely lost on me. What I did see was the commitment, focus, energy, passion and camaraderie.

It was a joy to watch and to have a shared experience with him.

The team lost by 2 points 39 to 41, having trailed by up to 14 points at one stage. Watching them fight back point by point as the seconds ticked by became nail biting stuff.
