Crazy
The Democratic process is interesting. Sometimes a bit confusing, but interesting. And the people...well, let's just say politics brings out the Crazy in some folks. Like you probably didn't already know that. What's interesting is the underestimation of participation the organizers in the State of Idaho have made. Both with the visit by Barack Obama and today for the caucus. Almost twice the capacity showed up in my county and about an additional 3,000 couldn't get into the arena in Boise, the capitol city. The other day, after the visit by Obama to Boise, I was talking to my parents, who live in Colorado. They said when Obama visited Denver about 5,000 people showed up (in a city of over 1 million). Here, 12,000 - 15,000 (depending on which count you subscribe to, but it was probably closer to 13,000). Hillary Clinton didn't visit Idaho, but when she went to Denver, only 1,500 showed up.
Whatever your political affiliation, this election is more interesting than pretty much any I can remember. It's not just who will be elected, but what the new president's policies will be (or attempted to be) that will be interesting. I think whatver the outcome, there will be long-lasting effects. Without having enough information, though, I don't know what those decisions or outcomes should or are likely to be.
Interesting times.
