Made A New Friend

I was busy getting things done this morning but decided that afterwards it would be good to get all 4 boys out of the house since it wasn't raining. I was grumpy and needed it as well.

We headed to their favorite "tree climbing park" and place where I could swing Landon on the swing "Daddy-high" (much higher than 'Mommy-high"). Nana went along and we took food to the park (as well as a much-needed coffee). Grateful for no rain---the kids rode bikes and scooters, played basketball, climbed trees, etc. In the middle of conversation I saw this little gopher pop up from his hole right next to my foot. I caught some pictures of this little guy. He was so cute. I know they can be quite the nuisance to people's yards, but he's still cute. Then I got to thinking, since they are known to be more docile and friendly than the groundhog (a whole lot less aggressive)....I think they deserve to have a national holiday instead of the groundhog. :D

I dropped Ryen off on the way back into town and once Nana left...we had to have that wonderful discussion about their 'talking back to mom' issues. Add to that the discussion about constant sibling fighting and it didn't make for a fun night. They may survive Spring Break, but I'm not sure I will. Calgon.......take me away! Currently 2 of them are at the batting cages for practice and I decided I needed a night to stay home with Landon. I have about 2 weeks of blips to get caught up on, so this is my escape at the moment.
