Bowling Fun

This afternoon was anticipated by Liam. It was his 9th BD sleepover celebration. All of the kids were dropped off by their parents at around 4:00pm. Once the parents headed out, we fed the kids an early dinner of pizza and then left for bowling. Liam had his bowling ball drilled just in time for today. I made a list on the way to the bowling alley of all of the bowling shoe sizes of the 8 (Loren, Liam, Landon, Eric, Sam, Bobby, Cody, Ryen) boys. I'm amazed at how different their sizes are...even the ones the same age as each other. The bowling was the hit of the evening. They had a blast. Landon was the only one that chose to use the bumper and did pretty well. There was a bit of wildness like boys flipping over hand rails and such, but mostly everyone was good and it was a nice time. I took this blip photo of them at the bowling alley jumping in the air. I think the youngest one might have beat them in flight! I should have had Nana, Papa and Grandpa Gary jumping in the photo too! :D

Once we arrived back home they had cake and ice cream (birthday cake flavored or Cookies N' Cream). Liam's cake of choice was chocolate with chocolate pudding filling and an Oakland A's design on top. So I was in search of yellow gold, green and white streamers/balloons this past week. Liam's gifts included Star Wars action figures, iTunes gift card, GameStop gift card and money to go towards and iPod Touch. Liam was also pleased that he was allowed to have pretty much unlimited junk food for his BD. Last night I shopped at Walmart at midnight for the junk food choices --- Liam's choice of Nacho Cheese Doritos, Loren's choice of Classic Lays, Landon's choice of Flamin' Hot Cheetos, and mommy's choice of Red Vines. :)

The boys ended the night with video games and sleeping in sleeping bags in the living room. I probably could have planned a sleepover on a better night though because it happened to fall on Daylight Saving....Spring Forward and lose an hour of sleep!
