Scrimmage Game
This morning the boys from the sleepover seemed to wake up somehow more vibrant than I thought they would....even after losing an extra hour with Daylight Savings Time. Gary fixed them a pancake breakfast and after they ate Cody's dad came by and picked him up. We tried to get everyones things in order and to the right child, but it was interesting trying to get them to stay focused on that part rather than the Battle Strikers. After throwing everyone's bags in the car, our kids and Liam's friends went to church with us and their parents were there waiting. I warned the parents that after a sleepover, not all of them would have agreed to shower and therefore may not smell so great and may look a bit disheveled. I, in the meantime, had lost my lesson I was supposed to teach but found it just in time in the e-mail on my phone. Thank you iPhone!
After all of the kids were returned to their rightful owners and church was over, we went to Loren's 1st scrimmage game of the season with a quick food trip on the way there. They put him in as starting pitcher and he did awesome for being rusty. He struck out 4 players in 2 innings! Coach was trying out all of the different pitchers during this game to get a feel for everything. Scout went with us to the game and was their 'Mas-scout".
I was soooo ready to collapse after the last two days of cleaning, shopping, bowling, sleepover, church, baseball, etc....but it was memorable for Liam's 9th and that's what was important.
