Limpet Shell
This is a limpet shell lying end-on on a wooden beach groyne, backlit by the sun. I wish I could say I found it like that, but I placed it there myself for the shot, noticing how the transmitted light brought it to life.
Beautiful sunny day; Chris and I, and the dogs, took a trip down to the small coastal village of Aberarth, about 12 miles down the coast, climbed up to the amazing Llanddewi Church, on a hilltop but hidden away and surrounded by gorse, then walked the 2 miles of the coast path down to Aberaeron. Time for an ice-cream and a visit to the second-hand bookshop, then back along the coast to Aberarth.
