A bit smutty

Not the most exciting of photos for most people but I'm very pleased with it, since a fellow botanist and mycologist friend suggested it couldn't be done :)

This is grape hyacinth, infected with a fungus known as "anther smut" due to the dark-brown powdery nature of the spores.

Apart from this brief outing I spent most of this glorious spring day "decluttering" and making space in anticipation of a carpenter coming to install a new, big, fitted cupboard. I hate clutter, but I hate decluttering just as much.

Did I mention I finally sold my VW T25 camper van? Sad, but it had to go. There's a load of clutter come out of that too, currently spread around the house.
