Characterful tree

Absolutely beautiful weather today, perfect blue skies, not a single cloud. We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing day at the waters edge in Vlaardingen.

A great walk through the Oranjepark first where this snap was taken, then around the Oudehaven (old harbour) and down to the Maasboulevard where we grabbed one of the few remaining benches to watch the many ships passing by along the Nieuwe Maas river. Seems to be a popular spot for the pensioners, we were the youngest there by a country mile!

After a stressful, tiresome week this was just what we both needed. A most enjoyable afternoon.
