Kijkduin beach

Determined to make the most of this gloriously sunny weekend, we headed to the coast today armed with a picnic. We veered off course to our planned destination of Hoek van Holland due to roadworks, closed motorway junctions and ridiculously long tailbacks.

So I drove us a little further North and ended up in the familiar territory of Kijkduin, a small coastal resort of Den Haag, which I have blipped a couple of times previously.

Lovely long walk along the beach and sand dunes, rewarded ourselves with ice cream sundaes, perfect.
