Not cool

Rearranged the 'office' today as Mrs MorFF had been to that Swedish furniture mecca that is Ikea and got me a filing cabinet.

I continue to be impressed at the ingenuity of those crafty Swedish designers. It was a breeze to put together, all metal, and solid as a rock.

Anyhoo, before moving the furniture about I ranked up the old XBox for a wee play, only to find the dreaded RROD - the Red Ring Of Death.

For the uninformed, this means it's deid. Apparently there are varying degrees of red-ringedness, with one, two, thee or four segments flashing red at you menacingly (they should be green) As expected, three is the worst - of course.

I've had a search about and there's various 'stories' out there on what can be done about it, ranging from sending it back to MS to wrapping it with a towel (believe it or not). Interestingly the cause is unanimously reckoned to be as a result of MS poor design and decision to make their own chips on the cheap.

Anyone in blipland managed to come out the other side of this without costing a fortune?
