Speedy, Weedy, Greedy and Tweedy

This is our hairy haggis running team. We're doing the Edinburgh marathon in May as a relay... So that's 26 miles between four of us... and we're doing it for charity to raise money for breast cancer care.

Four you say but there are only three in the picture... Indeed we're missing weedy... she had to go flat hunting this afternoon, but we suspect it was really just a bit too chilly for her...

So here's the team, we all work together and are dusty heritage types by day...

Speedy, is at the front, she's our team captain, (it was all her idea, she roped us in..) Speedy's done a few races, 10ks and half marathons and she's a good enthusiastic runner. She's also really organised and gets us all whipped into shape.

Next is Tweedy... She was born to be lady of the manor, and would probably join the women's institute except for the excessive nudity involved in producing calendars. If you want to wind her up say she comes from Margate, and you will be told in no uncertain terms that she's from Broadstairs !!! She's also really fast and sporty and a great laugh.

I'm lurking at the back, and I'm Greedy... You've all seen the number of cake and food based blips. The plan is that someone will cycle in front of me dangling a bit of cake and a glass of wine just out of reach, and I'll follow it like a blood hound...

Weedy is missing from the picture... but she won't escape my lens forever... she's our most reluctant runner, but she's always game for a bit of a laugh ... and hopefully she's found a place to live today... I might have to track her down and give her a blip all to herself... she'll love me for that....
