Alone
Well, it's 8.30pm and I am back from Dublin after quite a gruelling day. To say thet I am tired would be an understatement of gagrgantuan proportions. My feet feel like they have walked to the moon and back. Eamonn and I travelled up to see the Steve McCurry Exhibition which I had already seen but it is so good that it was a pleasure to view it again.
The trip wasn't a photo expedition but I hoped to get some street scenes while there. I did too but when we got back off the train, Arkloe was shrouded in a strange fog blowing in off the sea, so we popped down to the beach where I bagged this evening time shot. It may not be any better than the Dublin shots but Dublin and the beggars and buskers will be there another day. Fog like this only happens once in a while, so to day you get the fog shot.
Picked up my weekly copy of Amateur Photographer this morning to discover that my shot which I blipped on January 13th, entitled, "Where Rooks Rest" picked up 19th place and 33 points in round 1 of their Photographer of the Year Competition. That set me up nicely for the day, I can tell you, particularly as there was a record entry of just over 2000 shots submitted.
Now, let's see how much commenting I can get done before I fall asleep.
