Most kayaking misadventures seem to involve cold water and hypothermia. A new wetsuit arrived in the mail from Campmor this week. Today it was again unseasonably warm for February, perhaps in the mid fifties, though the water temp was probably about 40F.
The wet suit added a layer of safety making the paddle enjoyable. I think February kayaking is a first for me, though I did take a moonlight paddle in the ice on a Christmas eve with the "Old Man" many years ago.
