Life on the telephone

It was a day of waiting for telephone calls and making telephone calls. Not on this phone I hasten to add although it would look more than a bit curious wandering about with this if it had a mobile SIM card added to it!

Many may not remember but when I saw this it brought back recollections of dialling telephone numbers. The curious noises you heard on the earpiece as each number was dialled, and the time between dialling an individual number and the time the dial took to reset so that the next number could be dialled. Days when telephone calls were seemingly less frantic.
