76 Trombones

This is some of the cast of Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society performing a selection of songs from the musical The Music Man in Stirling's Thistle Centre in Scotland this morning.

The musical is being performed at Stirling University's Macrobert Centre from 29 Mar to 2 April. One of the songs of course is the famous 76 Trombones. (......which you will now be humming in your head for at least the next 15 mins!) It's odd isn't it that once we are reminded of a well-known tune it seems to stick in the mind for a wee while?

The singing this morning entertained the shoppers and hopefully sold a few more tickets. Hope the musical is a real 'hit parade' for the local operatic society.

ps: there are some seats available if anyone in the central Scotland area wants to come along to see and hear a great musical.

pps: My singing has even the soap in the bath curling in anguish so I'm not part of the operatic society. Mrs S is though, in a backstage role so its a busy time coming up for her starting on Sunday morning when the stage sets arrive.
