Stuck in the Mud
A very pleasant Saturday.
Son and daughter played in the right key most of the time, at this morning's Thornbury Area Music Service Concert, and they both finished the pieces at approximately the same time as everyone else. So all in all a succesful concert. No musical blip though. Both hid behind music stands, and the conductor stood right in front of me - most inconsiderate of him.
So the camera had to accompany myself, Tracey and the dog down to the river Severn and Thornbury sailing club.
You may have noticed that the tide was out - in fact i wonder if these boats ever make it to water. When the tide goes out here, it really goes out. The river Severn has apparently the 2nd highest tidal range of any river in the world .Wikipedia
Tracey is convinced that the tide is always in, in the mornings, and out in the afternoons. She firmly subscribes to the empirical verification branch of science.
These 2 boats are stranded in what locals call The Pill which I believe contributes to local flood defences, therefore keeping my insurance premiums down, fingers crossed.
