Blown
Alana has an egg decorating task in the coming week so first thing this morning I decided it was a good opportunity to blow the eggs so that the contents could be used for scrambled eggs on toast. To say I had difficulty is an understatement. After about 15 minutes I had managed to get a tiny bit of egg white out of the first egg. I had gradually been making the holes larger but didn't want to go any further. My cheeks hurt and it was at this point I had the bright idea of using my bicycle pump. Wow! The egg shot out with no effort at all. It took about 3 seconds!
I was so proud of my pump discovery I invited an audience for the second egg. I pumped but nothing happened. I pumped a little more. Then a little more. Crack! The egg blew up in my hand!
Not to be defeated I did eventually make use of the bicycle pump technique to get the three eggs you see here. I just needed to be a little more careful and make the holes a little bigger :)
