This is an HDR of the artillery emplacements (casements) at Ft Jefferson on Dry Tortugas.

Dr Mudd was imprisoned here and became the prison physician when the other physicians died of yellow fever.

Most recently Dry Tortugas has been a place of refuge for cuban refugees seeking asylum, as it is United States soil and lies just 90 miles north of Havana.
