Seasonal Colour
I think these warnings stay in place all winter. The weather doesn't create any particular reason to believe that the ice might be thin even now that it's March. Admittedly, spring is cold and late, even for here. Supposedly we are all glad because a slow gradual melt will help to reduce flooding problems. Hooray.
There is a just a hint that spring will really come in that orange tinted willow across the lake. In the dead of winter it's branches were as grey as all the others around it. Sap must have begun to flow a little to cause that colour change.
