Japonica sometimes Quince

My slightly eccentric friend has grown this alongside her flat wall (and lots of other things)
It produces a fruit which she collects and gives to a friend who makes Jam.

She is anxious for me to take a photo of her Magnolia Tree/bush but its not in full bloom yet, I will keep checking daily to see what stage it has reached.

As you may see it is glorious now; earlier on it was fairly dull but the sun has put her hat on and come out to play!

ps The nobbles on the statues backside are I think to do with the mold they are set in.
