Care Bear...Stare?
On my way to the tattoo parlor today, stepped into the street and immediately into about 5 inches worth of water. It looked like ice to me! It wasn't ice. So, I soaked my left shoe and sock quite thoroughly in said puddle. yay. Once at the tattoo parlor, I found out the guys weren't doing any tattoos today because the power kept flickering on and off. Not quite conducive to completing any large tattoos, so they were canceling all appointments. Shame. So, I only stayed for about an hour, long enough to listen to some Eddie Izzard and to take some pictures out the window. Oh, and to finally get a shot of this darn Care Bear!!! Out of maybe 10 shots, only two came out clearly. Darn bear. I'm convinced it's possessed and kept moving to make my shot difficult.
*almost posted this waver (click on picture for full view). I didn't even realize he was in the otherwise-boring shot until I opened the file on my computer. Then I had to laugh and play with the history brush a bit.
*Leaf on the Floor. I liked this shot because I was playing with the manual focus and the picture ended up looking like someone had left the leaf alone after-hours. Cute little leaf!
And now...back to more 'Pimp My Ride'!
The homeless man opened his eyes and glared at the girl. After a second or so, he looked at what was in his hand and his face fell. He began crying. The girl smiled at him and he began crying harder. He sat up on his bench and put his head in his hands. He kept looking at the ten dollars and crying harder. The girl offered him her handkerchief for his tears. He took the handkerchief and wiped his eyes. He offered it back, but the girl waved him away with a smile. His eyes met the girl's and through his tears, she saw the gratitude. He didn't need to say anything. She knew. She smiled and waved and turned to walk away.
