Street Food - Potato Chips
The main square of Zihua comes alive every Sunday, with performances on the basketball court, food vendors in the street, and all manner of people strolling the area. I discovered this vendor who serves fresh cooked potato chips for 10 pesos per bag. There is really no way to describe the hot, salty goodness that comes in these little plastic sacks. The hot oil is also used to bake bananas, which the proprietress is selling here covered in la leche, and fry banana chips, which my wife says are way better than those sold on the beach. I could have dinner from just this booth, but there are another dozen from which to choose so I have to limit myself to only two bags of chips per visit.
