Harvest

While walking La Ropa we often see people in the surf digging for crustaceans, especially around dusk. Most have either a liter soda bottle or a plastic bag (like the guy shown here) in their mouths in which to hold what they dig out of the sand. I'm not sure how a person decides where to dig, but rarely can we walk the beach without seeing these harvesters getting pounded by the waves as they collect what I can only assume will be dinner later that evening.
