Amber

What a fabulous day and the morning started with my walk with Amber. I usually giver her little bits of 'tit bits' along the way, but today that was not to be as we were going to the Vets after the walk, where I was having to leave her for an operation. (Nothing to eat before the operation)
The results of our visit yesterday to see a Vet specialising in Ophthalmic (an eye specialist), was that Amber not only has dry eye but also has extra lashes and lumps growing inside on the upper lid. It is called ectopic cila.
So that meant an operation today. At least - hopefully she will be a lot more comfortable with out having those lashes rubbing and irritating the eye ball. But we still have the problem of dry eye which we will be addressing a little further down the track.
I expected her to come home from that looking all beaten up, but no she looks pretty good other than a bit of blood around her eye area. She can open her eyes, and is doing not bad. A little bit sleepy as the anaesthetic wears off.
We go back in a week to see if things are working better.
