London City to Bank

One of the clever little Docklands Light Railway trains at London City Aiport. A weekly trip these days to Holborn. In this case via Bank and the Central Line. These computer controlled driverless trains are I think the best way to travel into central London from an airport. The tube from Heathrow is a horrendous journey taking over an hour and usually cramped. The Heathrow Express to Paddington is pretty expensive and unless you are visiting or working near Paddington, its another sluggish journey on the tube or an expensive taxi. The so-called Gatwick Express is (in my experience) an express only insomuch as it does not make any scheduled stops between Gatwick and Victoria. It's not that quick but at least Victoria is pretty much within walking distance of Westminster and Whitehall for work.
