Venus Bay

Today we went to Venus Bay and Tarwin Lower. Tarwin Lower is a little town on the river that runs out into the ocean and Venus Bay is an even smaller town that is on the open ocean. We drove to Venus Bay first and played on the sand and in the waves. The water is quite different to Sandy Point where we are staying as it is in a bay where as Venus Bay is open ocean! Spence was used to the gentle waves at Sandy Point and the ones here were quite strong and crept up on you!

We got some lunch and then ate it at the park, then drove back to Tarwin Lower to visit a friend of Kaz's that she used to sail with. We came back and Spence had a sleep and then we went for a walk around the town. We stopped off at the park, went past our new house, up to the lookout over the beach then down onto the beach where Spence chased seagulls!!

The next couple of days are meant to be a bit rainy but we are hoping to go fishing with Dad tomorrow. We will have to wait and see what the weather is like in the morning.

I took this photo while we were at Venus Bay this morning. There was one lone fisherman on the beach in one direction and some surf lifesavers practicing in the other!
