Iridium Point

This shot reminds me of the old advertising slogan for Stephens' Ink. "His nibs, her nibs, in fact all nibs prefer Stephen's India Ink".

In fact it is the nib of my favourite fountain pen. I have a couple of others which are nice, commercially made pens, but this is my favourite since I turned the barrel and cap myself on the lathe, using a nice piece of rosewood. The nib and the brass findings are commercial of course but the feel of real timber in the hand and the knowledge that this is something hand crafted by myself, seems to make the writing experience even nicer.
