Heading out

We've had our usual friday fun. Katie loves Fridays. She was so excited at the idea of going to find Ava. She had a nice time at gymnastics, she was playing peepo with on of the teachers using the tunnels that were set out. Using the whole tunnel. She was rolling it over to find the seethrough panel to peep through. She asked several times for the ducks, and was pleased when they eventually were brought out. They enjoyed soft play before lunch as well. They looked two tired bunnies sat in their highchairs!
Katie fell asleep almost as soon as we'd left the car park. I'd expected her to let me put her in the buggy and carry on sleeping whilst I did a quick wander round asda, but she wasnt playing that game. So she explored asda too.
She was beginning to flag in the car to swimming but the mention of it was enough to keep her awake. She really enjoyed the 'lesson' part of the time today, was full of huge big grins and splashes. During the free swim though, she was really frustrated. She just wanted to be able to do it all on her own and was cross that she couldnt. In the end, her teacher suggested taking her armbands off and letting her just play with the toys on the steps. She was instantly back to big grins, splashes and spent 45 more minutes playing with the floats, ducks, boat and numbers.
She fell asleep in the car on the way home which worked well as it gave her enough energy from an unexpected but very happy visit from Granny and Grandad. They stayed for tea too (still here now, Granny's washing up, ah wonderful!) and Katie went to bed a very tired but happy little monkey.
