Disney On Ice

FABULOUS day today!! Such a good day, and such a good girl my munchkin has been, I'm so proud of her.

Katie ate a big breakfast, thanks to "silly cat in a bag" photos - a photo of Vicki's cats having climbed in various bags, boxes etc. Kept her occupied for ages. We then set off nice and early, to head to Ikea. She enjoyed pushing Monkey round in the trolley, crawled in a pile of sheepskin rugs and bounced on a bed or two. She then ate a full cooked breakfast in the cafe before playing in the childrens bedrooms/toy areas for ages. She claimed a little toy "mouse" (actually a polar bear) and a utensil pot as his "bucket house". She ate a big ice cream after we'd paid and sang most of the way to Sheffield.

We for coffee with friends' of Vicki's and she was a really good girl, sat colouring in a book that Becky found her to use. But she was very excited to leave there as the big trip of the day was to the Disney On Ice Princesses and Heroes show.

She was excited from the moment we sat down about seeing the princesses and Minnie. She was fit to burst when Minnie Mouse first came on the rink. She was enthralled from start to finish, much like she was at the ballet yesterday. She loved Cinderella, even though she's no idea who she is, she's chattered on about Cinderella since the show. Tinkerbell and Sebastian the crab from Little Mermaid were next biggest hits. She loved the throws and jumps, clapped along, danced beside our seats and begged for more-more when it had finished, placated only by the promise of seeing the photos after nursery tomorrow.

We finished day off with tea at Pizza Hut, where she ate loads of salad, cheese balls, and some pizza, before singing herself to sleep in the car on the way home.
