Cutting Edge Technology - Circa 1984

I found this in an old magazine at my mother's house. It was a from a magazine that my brother used to buy, called Omni, which was a futuristic, science and technology mag, mixed with a very wide and good range of science-fiction short stories.

There was a time when we looked at this and saw the future, now I can only see hilarity and ridiculousness. I wonder if in 27 years' time, people will be looking at iPads the same way.
