Development?

Espoo, my current hometown. On a map, you find it on the west side of Helsinki, Finland.
1901 - population 5 888
1940 - population 13 378
1970 - population 92 655
2000 - population 209 667
2010 - population 248 355
And there is no end within sight.

Not my usual stuff this photo - it must be the weather today...
But this is a view I'm very accustomed to. I pass it every day.
