After a night at a hostel, I made it to this UNESCO World Heritage site called Qutab Minar.
The tower (minar) was built by the Muslims when they defeated the last Hindu kingdom. To the right is the tomb of Imam Zamin and to the left is the Alai Darwaza gateway. All examples of early Afghan architecture.
One thing I love about travelling in India is how kids just come up to talk to you. You get to know that bit more about their culture... priceless!
Live coverage of the Cricket World Cup final was not available on the flight but frequent updates flashed on the screen :) Just before we reached London, the captain announced in a calm voice, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have won the world cup." Everybody shouted and cheered. The atmosphere was contagious.
And thanks to the India Cricket team, I won the bet. June 2011 just got more exciting!
